Marian Medical Center in Santa Maria, CA - 3200 patients of the emergency room and urgent care center were notified that a Blackberry containing patient information was stolen from the hospital.

Gexa Energy in Houston Texas – customers had their personal information compromised by an outside computer hacker.

Francis Howell School District – 1700 employees had their names and social security numbers compromised when a laptop computer was stolen from a school.

Norfolk Redevelopment and Housing Authority – residents were outraged when documents containing social security numbers and salary information were found lying in a field.

Custom House Coffee Shop – computer hackers used spy software to break into the store's wireless network and steal credit card numbers from customers.

Westaff Employment Staffing Company – an employee tossed reams of personal information including social security numbers and driver's license numbers in a dumpster.

Merrimack Movie Theater – hackers broke into computer servers and stole customers credit card information.

The Rio Grande Food Project – thousands of clients at risk after a laptop computer containing their personal information was stolen.

Claire’s Accessories Boutique – store clerk stole the credit card numbers of 150 customers.

Richmond Dermatology and Laser Specialists – medical records were blowing around a parking lot which contained patient lists, insurance information and social security numbers.

Hancock Fabric – employee payroll data with names and social security numbers were found in the trash behind the store.
